Cecily | One Year Session | Eau Claire County Child Photographer

Sweet, sweet Cecily is a big girl now.  She is now a ONE year old.  I seriously can not believe she is a year old already.

I remember her coming in for her newborn portraits like it was yesterday.  But, holy moly, that first year always goes by so fast.  And, they change so much from being a newborn to a one year old.  Babies will double their size in their first year.  They learn to hold their head up, smile, sit, crawl and walk to name a few things.  Even though they may not speak full sentences, they know what a lot of words mean.  It is absolutely mind blowing, and I love that I get to document these magical moments in your child’s life.

Let’s take a peek back at Cecily’s newborn portraits.  She has some seriously cute, little cheeks.

And, a couple from her sitter session.

Such a beautiful little girl!

Thank you to Cecily’s parents for choosing Angi Randall Photography.  I really enjoyed watching your baby girl grow during her first year.

Miss A is ONE | Eau Claire County Child Photographer

This little one is such a sweetheart.  She was beautiful and breathtaking as a newborn, and she is still beautiful and breathtaking now.  She reminds me of the original Gerber Baby!  So, so cute!  Check it out for yourself.

Here is one of her images as a newborn:

And, here she is a year later.

Can you believe her eyelashes?  Crazy jealous here…lol!

Nom nom.  Cupcakes are good.

Thanks so much to Miss “A’s” mama for bringing her to Angi Randall Photography for her one year session!

Hello!  Hello!  Hello!  Isn’t it a beautiful day outside today?  I can’t believe how nice it is today on this 19th day of January.  Right now it is 43 degrees outside.  But, we so needed  this nice weather to melt away all that ice.

Anyway, as nice as it is outside, I would like to introduce an all inclusive package for Cake Smash Milestone Sessions here at Angi Randall Photography.  Who has a little one turning ONE?  Can you believe how quick his/her first year went?  It probably seems like yesterday you were bringing them home from the hospital, and now, they are turning a year old.  Crazy, right?  Turning ONE is a big deal.  They have learned so much in that first year, they have been with you for ONE year, AND they only turn ONE once!  So, why not celebrate their big milestone with a ONE YEAR CAKE SMASH SESSION?

Here are the details for a FUN cake smash session with me at my studio:

Can’t sit still | Augusta WI Eau Claire County Child Photographer

I don’t know about you, but if you have a young child in your house…I am sure you can relate.  I have a son, who just can’t sit still.  Doesn’t matter what he is doing.  He can be watching t.v., playing a game (board or PlayStation), doing homework, eating, ect.  You catch my drift.  HE JUST CAN”T SIT STILL.  He makes me exhausted just watching him.

Well, one morning about two weeks ago, I thought I would use my photographic skills and do some lifestyle images of my son watching a dinosaur show on Saturday morning while eating his breakfast.  I’m not a lifestyle photographer by trade (I specialize in newborn photography), but it’s these moments that I don’t want to forget.  My child being real, being himself.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the smiles just as much as any other parent, but I also am an avid lover of just the simple expressions one can give.  The images I am posting of my son took place within a two minute spand.  He was constantly moving and changing positions, and at the end of this time spand I was able to get a couple of him looking at me.

I love this little boy with all my heart.  He may gives us daily challenges, but I would not change anything about him.  For that is who he is.

Before & After | Augusta Wi Eau Claire County Baby Photographer

Today I am sharing a before and after of a composited image of a four month old baby girl. Miss “Z” wasn’t real happy about laying on her back so I had to work quick with a small feeding break in between. She would have rather sat. Yes, sit. A four month old baby who can sit just blew me away. But, I like a little bit of a variety, so I wanted to capture some images on her back with her holding her little tooties. I love baby feet. No, let me say that again…I LOVE BABY FEET!!

Okay, so here is the image I started with…

Don’t you just love her smile and her piggies? I love this image, but I accidentally cut of the bottom part of the trench bowl. I was just so happy that she gave me a smile; because, like I said, she wasn’t happy being on her back…so, I just focused on her quick and pressed the shutter button.

Here is the second image I used:

I used this image to get the bottom part of the trench bowl. And, yes, this image is adorable too 🙂 So, now that I was able to get the bottom of the trench bowl, I still needed more of the flokati rug on the bottom. So, I could either clone more flokati on the bottom, which would be a tight squeeze, or I could take another image and make sure I get enough of the rug on the bottom of the image below the trench bowl. I made the decision to take another image and just use the bottom portion of that image.

Here is the last image I used:

This image was taken just to get enough rug area below the trench bowl. She was done with laying on her back, and I wasn’t going to force her to get “that perfect image” when I knew I could work a little magic in Photoshop. And, like I said earlier, I only needed enough of the rug to complete the image I had in my head.

Okay, now I took the three images and I composited them together in Photoshop. Then, after I composited the three images together, I gave my own custom edit to the image with a levels adjustment and a couple of overlays. Last, I added a canvas-like texture to the image. Ahh…done. Are you ready to see the before and after?
Okay, okay, okay…I will stop lolly-gagging. Here is the composited image and the finished image:

Hope you enjoyed my before and after image. Let me know what you think, or if you have any questions. Thank you for stopping by 🙂

Grayson | Augusta WI Child Photographer

I can not even tell you how fast Grayson’s first year has went by. I remember when his mama brought him in for his newborn session. I remember holding him and thinking how perfect he looked. Don’t you agree? He was such a healthy, bouncing baby boy!

And now, look at him! He is just such a little man. And, has some of the most beautiful blue eyes for a little man. I can’t believe how big he has grown. They do grow so fast. Wouldn’t it be nice to slow time down so they could stay little for just a little while longer?

Now, it is time for cake. I really do love when mama’s bring in a cake for the little ones to smash! It is such a great way to end a one year session. Besides, ONE is a big deal, so why not celebrate with some cake 🙂

Thank you for stopping by and taking time to check out Grayson’s blog post. I hope I brought a smile to your face. Please leave some love. I am sure his mama would enjoy it!
