About three weeks ago I went home to my hometown Marinette, WI for a family visit. We always go back home to pick pumpkins from the field of pumpkins my father plants every year. Well, this year there wasn’t much as the deer really had their way with them. I still reside in Wisconsin (Augusta) and love everything that Wisconsin has to offer. I always dream of living by the ocean, but I don’t know if I could really ever leave my family or if my husband and kiddos would want to uproot. We are a close knit family, but find it hard to travel back home all the time and keep up with family life. It’s hard, but we make do.
AsI went back to my hometown I knew I wanted to capture some pieces of life, landscape and architecture that remains in our family and what is OUR family life. I didn’t get to do as much exploring as I would have liked to, but what I did capture I am happy with. God only knows how much longer it will remain in the family or even remain at all. God has given us such beauty to look at, learn from and just be in awe of. To capture it feels amazing. So, here are a couple of images that I would like to share with you all:
The last image is the shadow of my cousin, Michele Dura, who has been blessed with owning the family farm which she had purchased from her parents. She is a cowgirl at heart and so it is cool that she gets to maintain the family farm in the family!!
I hope you enjoy seeing a little bit of where I grew up and hung around quite a bit. There have been many happy memories growing up in that part of the woods. God Bless.
